Severn Expeditions is a family run business, so it's not just a job to us, we are passionate about what we do and we pride ourselves on being helpful and delivering great customer service! Our aim is to ensure you have a memorable trip on the river so nothing pleases us more than seeing lots of smiling faces!! We operate from the Upton Marina in the beautiful town of Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire in the heart of rural England.

Boating adventures bring immeasurable happiness to many of our customers who want to escape the daily grind and enjoy a few hours away from the hyper-connected, over stimulated society we live in, and just have fun with family or friends, relaxing and meandering down Britain’s greatest natural waterway…and if it’s a dry sunny day that’s a bonus!!

As much as we would love to order the sun every day, the weather is something we can’t control, but don’t worry, if conditions are really bad, we won’t send you out if you are likely to get soaked through to your undies. That’s not cool! We want you to enjoy your trip, so we offer flexibility in those circumstances. 

Never been boating before? Don’t stress! No previous experience is necessary. No licence is required to drive a boat and we will teach you everything you need to know before you go out!

Self-Drive Boat Hire
Fancy being ‘Captain Jack’ for a day? Our self-drive boats give you ultimate privacy for your adventure. We have a choice of covered or not covered boats. All are easy to operate, have plenty of room for a picnic and seats for 2-7 people. Starting from £90 for half a day.

Skippered Boat Hire
Take relaxation one step further and have a skipper do the driving for you. A celebratory drink in hand and a pre-ordered picnic is the way to experience a special occasion in style. Our experienced team will be sure to make your time on the river enjoyable. £80 per hour.

Guided Fishing Trips
Our fishing guides are some of the best anglers in the country. We offer guided fishing trips tailored to your needs. Whether you are an experienced angler or new to fishing, our guides will share their knowledge and teach you tips and tricks for great fishing on the Lower Severn. £260 per day for up to 2 people.
