Westonbirt

Tetbury & Malmesbury
Home to 2,500 different species from the far corners of the globe and 5 national tree collections, Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, is the perfect place for you to escape, relax or have an adventure!

Created almost 200 years ago by Victorian horticulturalist Robert Holford,  one man's passion for plants created the world's most beautiful tree collections. With every season changing the arboretum and bringing different beauty to see, so no two walks are the same. Westonbirt Arboretum has so much to offer with Gruffalo spotting, the Tree Top Walkway, which takes you 13m up into the canopy, on a serpentine journey through the tree tops, three amazing places to eat, a wonderful shop for all your gifting needs, and so much more.

With events such as Wild Wonder at Westonbirt, the arboretum’s nature book festival for children, Forest Live, the concerts within the trees, seeing names such as Rag ‘N Bone Man, Madness and Jack Savoretti over the years and the long-standing Enchanted Christmas, where the trees are lit up in time for Father Christmas, there is something for everyone at any point in the year.

Pre-booking is essential to guarantee entry at certain times of year, please check the website to be sure.
