Origin is an exciting small plates restaurant. Our kitchen is a culinary melting pot of bold and fresh flavours, from all corners of the world. Unwind with a cocktail, craft beer or wine after work.

Origin is about a sense of place, about provenance, quality, authenticity and also sometimes simplicity – the best charcuterie or cheese needs nothing but a glass of good wine.

We’re not restricted by any one country or genre’s food, but source the best ingredients available, firstly in Yorkshire where we’re blessed with outstanding seafood, livestock, fruit and vegetables, championing local producers and suppliers, and supplement it with the finest examples of sustainably sourced ingredients from across the globe.

Our aim is to offer small plates of great quality food, but in a relaxed, social environment. Food is for sharing so maybe try 2 or 3 dishes each and try each others. You don’t have to share of course. In fact you don’t even have to eat as we have a large comfortable bar downstairs to unwind or chill out in, with plenty of local craft beers and ciders as well as international favourites to help you relax.
