Hereford Guild of Guides

Hereford
Join us for a guided walk around Hereford’s interesting and historic places.

Hear about its famous people and their achievements. Learn about its Saxon origins, its strategic importance on the banks of the Wye and on the Welsh border, its place in Norman England through to its role in the Civil War and beyond.

Our daily walks run 1st April to 31st October, starting from the North Porch of the Cathedral at 11.30am Mon - Sat & 2.30pm Sundays. Tickets from the Cathedral shop (except Sundays - buy direct from your guide, cash only please). We charge £6 per adult, £1 per accompanied child 6-12 yrs.

We also welcome bookings for themed walks and talks including Hauntings & Horrors, Elgar in Hereford, The Kembles, Women in Hereford, Agriculture & Industry and Alfred Watkins. More subjects are being developed - we welcome enquiries. For booked groups we normally allocate one guide per ten people.

Please note that we can only allow assistance dogs on our walks. We welcome wheelchair users and have devised a special route with their comfort in mind.
