Quay Bakery was founded by local girl Nic and her partner Tom.
Having spent years in Bristol running a successful seamstressing business, and working as a pastry chef at AA rosette standard, the couple moved back to Fowey to support the family restaurant through the recession.
They started by making all the bread and deserts in house as a cost saving measure. The demand from other Restaurants and pubs for quality locally produced bread soon overtook the tiny top floor 'bakery'.
Quay Bakery opened its doors on Webb Street in Fowey in July 2012.
In 2015 the Bakery moved to it's permanent home at 37 Fore Street, just two doors down from the restaurant where it all began!
