Careys Secret Garden

Dorchester
A walled, wild plot left untouched for over 40 years. Until now.

Behind a 150 year old wall, situated just outside of Wareham, Dorset, sits 3.5 acres in the midst of transformation. Left untouched for more than 40 years, this garden is about to flourish again. Boundaries are soon to be marked by an edible hedgerow. Trees are being planted that’ll fruit the best of British, as well as roses, flowers and a vegetable and herb garden.

Beyond a productive and beautiful garden, Carey is a space to grow skills and inspiration through our unique events. From seed sowing to scented gardening, mushroom foraging to moth identification, bird song to creative clay, and permaculture to propagation. Please visit our website to see what events are coming up.

All visits must be pre-booked in advance online.
