Chichester Forest Schools

Chichester
Forest School is a unique educational experience and process that offers children the opportunity to succeed and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland environment.

We have a range of activities for families to enjoy the outdoors and spend quality time together.

  • Babes in the Wood forest school for accompanied children aged 2-5 years old,  is a warm, nurturing woodland group that makes both adults and children feel welcome and relaxed.
  • Home Education Forest School groups, fun, friendly sessions on Thursday mornings in the Secret Garden Fishbourne.
  • Holiday sessions;  whole-day and half-day events that cater for all ages. Many of our holiday sessions are based around popular themes (e.g. Minecraft, the Gruffalo and survival skills).
  • Dangerous Dads – for children and dads
  • Birthday parties

During Forest School children may light a small campfire, cook lunch or s’mores, use green woodworking skills to create and build objects from the woodland around them, enjoy stream dipping, den building, hammocks, rope swings and much, much more.

Chichester Forest Schools CIC provides forest school and outdoor learning for children, young people and families, engaging through nature and building relationships to provide holistic learning through play and exploration in woodland. Children learn to handle risks and use their own initiative to problem solve and cooperate with others. This hands-on learning builds self -esteem, confidence, and motivation; the skills needed to become effective learners.
