A Story as Fresh as Our Goods

Our story began in 2012, when Adilia Frazao brought her Portuguese roots and passion for artisan baking to Cambridge. She lovingly restored the original Norfolk Street shop, transforming it into a welcoming corner of the city known for fresh bread, sweet bakes, and warm service. Her traditional methods and honest ingredients quickly made Norfolk Street Bakery a local favourite.

Today, our Norfolk Street branch remains a much-loved part of the neighbourhood — a local hub where people come not only for their favourite bakes, but to catch up with neighbours and feel part of the community. It’s a place full of life, warmth, and the comforting smell of something delicious just out of the oven.

Station Road: A New Chapter with the Same Heart
In 2017, a long-time friend, Lina, opened our second location at 7 Station Road — a new chapter for the bakery, where we brought the same love, craft, and Portuguese soul into a larger space designed for connection, comfort, and a little more time to linger.

This bright, welcoming spot quickly earned a reputation not just for its beautiful food, but also for its genuinely friendly service — where customers are greeted with a smile, regulars are remembered, and every plate is served with care.

In 2024, we were proudly named Best Bakery in Cambridgeshire, a recognition that reflects the heart we put into everything we do — from flaky pastéis de nata to hand-shaped sourdough loaves.
