Thaikhun - pronounced tycoon, means 'your' Thai restaurant - and we've been proudly open since 2014! Bursting with hand-picked Thai bric-a-brac and authentic street food, we create an experience that takes you on a journey across the world to where our story actually started. At the age of just 15 with big dreams and an entrepreneurial spirit, our founder, Khun Kim, left her rural village for the busy streets of Bangkok and set up her first Pad Thai cart in 1993. Through pure dedication and hard work, she expanded the business to run several street food stalls and won an award for the delicious flavours of her Pad Thai recipe - the very recipe we still proudly use today! Each recipe on our menu is found at real Thai street vendors, giving you a real insight into what you'd find on Khao San Road.

Although the setting may have changed, the passion and soul behind our concept is beating as strong as it once was in the small village of Khiri Mat. Our goal is to deliver a taste of Thailand for you to fall in love with as much as we have.
